Jeevadaan HIV/AIDS CENTRE
Jeevadaan is a care and support centre for
people living with HIV/AIDS established by the Society of Daughters of
St.Camillus on 2
nd February 2004 to provide care and support for
HIV/AIDS infected and abandoned women and girl children. Jeevadaan is their
only ray of hope. They know that their life is short and society will not
accept them as they are infected by the dreaded HIV/AIDS virus. They also have
no money to live independently and lack the strength to work hard. But
Jeevadaan has created a space for them to live a decent life till their death.
Our Vision
is a sincere effort to help the victims to live
with dignity.
Our Goal
is
to promote the wellbeing and the quality of life by providing care, support,
motivation and rehabilitation as well as ensuring a sense of confidence and
acceptance.

Objectives
- To
provide residential care for terminal AIDS patients and abandoned HIV/AIDS
women and children.
- To
enable the HIV/AIDS infected women and children to regain health, confidence
and dignity in order to include them in their family and society through
counseling services and skill development / self employment program.
- To
facilitate prevention of HIV/AIDS and community care of HIV/AIDS patients by
educating and creating awareness among the residents about HIV/AIDS.
- School
Education for girl children.
Jeevadaan is a nonprofit
organization. We have not received any
support from government and we have so far been running our center with our own
resources and help of some generous donors.
We find difficult to maintain our mission without the support of others.
Therefore we need of generous donors to help mission with whatever help they
can share. All the donations made to the centre are exempt under 80G, of the
Income Tax Act.
It is said, 'give
